Job DescriptionReports To: Assistant General ManagerCollaborates With: General Manager POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:The Bartender works to support BryantCorp's vision of building better communities through beautiful spaces. The Bartender assists the hotel General Manager, and Assistant General Manager to accomplish the goals of the company.The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by preparing and serving high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests. This position plays a key role in supporting daily bar operations, maintaining cleanliness and organization, ensuring responsible alcohol service, and contributing to an outstanding guest experience at The Home2 Suites By Hilton. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision.Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation is preferredMust be able to work weekends and holidaysHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferred ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service to all guests.Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with North Carolina ABC laws.Accurately process cash, credit card, and electronic transactions through the POS system.Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout each shift.Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishments, glassware, and supplies as needed.Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and securing the bar.Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, promotions, and special events to assist guests with recommendations.Assist with beverage service during private events, festivals, entertainment, and community events.Report equipment issues, inventory shortages, and guest concerns to the Assistant General Manager.Follow all company policies, sanitation standards, and safety procedures.Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the hotel.QUALIFICATIONSPrevious bartending or customer service experience preferred.Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation preferred.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.Must meet all legal requirements to serve alcoholic beverages in North Carolina.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESExcellent customer service skillsBeverage preparation and presentationCash handling and POS operationTime management and multitaskingStrong communication and teamworkProblem-solving and conflict resolutionAttention to detailAbility to remain calm and professional during busy periods BryantCorp is an equal opportunity employer.
