Title:

Gate Attendant

Position Summary

The Part-Time Gate Attendant is responsible for controlling entry into the Garden at walk-in gates, assisting with parking operations, and helping maintain the security of vehicles in the Twin Lakes parking lot. This position also provides a welcoming and positive experience for visitors while supporting the Garden’s overall safety and security operations.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Screens visitors as they enter the Garden.
• Monitors staff parking areas and helps maintain the security of parked vehicles.
• Provides positive and professional customer service to visitors, staff, and guests.
• Utilizes a two-way radio to communicate with Security Management and other team members.
• Assists with controlling access to designated Garden entrances and parking areas.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid New York State Driver’s License.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with visitors, staff, and members of the public.
• Ability to follow security procedures and directions from Security Management

Physical Demand & Work Environment

This position requires extended periods of standing and sitting and involves working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Work Schedule

• This is a part-time position with a baseline schedule of Fridays and Sundaysfrom 10 AM to 6 PM.
  • Candidates must also be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Rate

• $20 per hour
